Nini's Journey
"The biggest obstacle to health is your mind." Chris Kresser.
I am responsible for my body and for taking care of it. No blaming anything or anyone, I am working toward a healthier me and only I, can choose the actions that bring it about. It is no one else's responsibility.
(Psalms 139:13-18 NIV)
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
{14} I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
{15} My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
{16} your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
{17} How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
{18} Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
As part of my journey to wellness I had to say goodbye to sugar and it was difficult to say the least, I still crave it but knowing how ill it makes me encourages me to stay without it.
CERTAIN FOODS CAN HARM YOUR HEALTH
I made the choice to give up certain foods not just because I want to lose weight but because I want to take back my health which I lost through wrong eating habits.
This will be a lifestyle for the rest of my life and not just for a season. The choice is mine to chose wither I want to live with inflammation, leaky gut, IBS, arthritis and Fibromyalgia or to feel well and be pain free from inflammation in my body.
I owe it to my Maker to look after the body he gave me and this year my goal is to be disciplined and watch what I put in my mouth, the saying “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT” is 100% true.
5 January 2016:
It is three weeks since I decided to make some drastic changes to the way I eat and I'm already feeling the benefits of my changes and am looking forward to feeling even better as time goes on.
